From New Year to Summer, yeah well that's how it goes. Time...
Summer's been great so far with beautiful weather! Shot many photos, visited many places along the coast of Sweden and had a great relaxing time at sea. Will submit some of it soon. There is much to learn by giving critique and I will also try to make an effort to review and comment on others work. There's 1 302 deviations since last I made an effort, so I guess time is a good keyword once more. :)
Enjoy it while it lasts, that summer is a fast mover!
I'm not going to write a long retrospective because it seems like everyone is doing that. I believe a short one is more than sufficient.
It's been a busy year as always, more responsibilities on my shoulders at work has given me a steep learning curve and hectic days. When I look at my calendar for 2009 it seems like I'm in for it again! :) There was a period with a little bit less overtime work after summer and that has been good for me I think. Somehow I don't feel less busy, so I guess I have found somewhere to put those hours also.
Anyway a short summary of 2008 here it is, most is unwritten, but that's simply because I can't discuss it
Still being relatively satisfied with my trustworthy D50, I simply couldn't resist the new D700. I have been waiting for this moment for a while and once the bargain was there, I was sold. We are both very happy together... :)

I'm not sure what to do with my old companion yet, but I think it might come in handy now and then. Especially on less safe destinations where it would be a bad idea to bring something I'm afraid of loosing. It's actually still an excellent camera after all these years!

took a while to find it but i did it ehehe i used your "engine" pic, u probably can't recognize it well (as most of the pic used) but a part is on the belly of the beast... real format of the pic is really huge, all is more visible... anyway, glad u like it!
